The
Academy of Oriental Medicine
Weekend Workshop: Rochester, Kent.
We stayed in the fifteenth
century Victoria & Bull Hotel where we were truly
looked after. Most students arrived Friday afternoon
giving them ample time to settle in. We all met for
a drink in the George vaults a bar in the high street
and a meal followed in a local Chinese restaurant, the
food was good but service was very slow.
The following morning after a hearty breakfast we began
our training schedule at ten with a warm up of light
qi exercises followed by a cup of tea and more exercise.
The day finished at 4.30 giving all plenty of time to
freshen up and prepare for the evening meal (Italian)
which was superb.
I know it looks like all we did was eat but a great
deal of work was done during working hours. What was
achieved by some pupils was quite astounding although
some found the concept of qi and what it can do a little
difficult to grasp. Sunday was intense and left many
of us very tired though clear of mind. I hope everyone
who attended enjoyed the workshop and continue to develop
the skills learnt on the weekend.

Thank you to Mr Aaron Stone who arranged restaurants
the hotel and provided tea/coffee and a whole lot
of hospitality.
