At the Academy of Oriental Medicine
we pride ourselves in setting the highest standards
possible in our field. However, that doesn't mean
you should have to take our word for it, so below
you will find a small selection of testimonials and
thank you letters we've received.
We welcome feedback from all of our students or clients,
and are often sent letters or emails from happy customers
thanking us for the training that we provided and
complimenting us on our service.
| 'The
Academy of Oriental Medicine has enabled me to
train for the lifestyle that I have always dreamed
of. The team involved in teaching and treating
at the academy are some of the nicest people that
I have ever met and I feel very proud and lucky
to be affiliated with them. The courses that they
offer are very well structured and the knowledge
that you gain from them is invaluable. I have
been lucky enough to have had the opportunity
to travel to China with Phil and Graham in order
to gain work experience in the hospitals of Beijing,
and I can honestly say that it was the best mix
of work and play that I have ever experienced'.

'I am just
coming to the final stage of the 3 year BSc degree
course with The Academy of Oriental Medicine and
I have found the course to be very well planned
& very much interesting. The instructers are
extremely knowlegable & very helpful &
the atmosphere between the group is relaxed and
friendly. I have also travelled to China with
the Academy & found this to be a very pleasant
experience but I also gained much valuable knowledge
& experience from the trip.
I would definitley go again and I am now looking
to set up my own business part time once I have
qualified. Overall the course was money very well
spent for me personally & I would like to
advance my knowledge & qualifications with
the Academy in the near future by taking my Masters'.

| 'I was
still studying Acupuncture when I went to China
with the AOM. It was a fantastic experience which
I hope to repeat a soon as possible. Studying
in The Hospitals in Beijing and Tianjin boosted
my confidence immensely and gave me real insight
into integrated medicine at its best'.

'Having
completed the Bsc course in 2007, I would like
to share some of my thoughts on it. I started
the course coming from a background of internal
martial arts ie Tai Chi and BaGua, having developed
a deeper interest in the healing arts of Acupuncture,
Tui-Na massage and herbal remedies, the Academy
of Oriental Medicine seemed to be the next logical
step to take,
With their more than competitive rates compared
to other similar colleges and the expert knowledge
and experience of the staff at the Academy I found
the three year course to be enjoyable, interesting
and informative. The relaxed manner of their teaching
method I found was conducive to learning the wide
aspects of oriental medicine and I will always
think back to the course with fond memories and
hopefully continue my correspondence with them
to further my knowledge of this complex art'.

| "I
first came across the Academy through one of the
previous lecturers who suggested I apply to study
there. My first impressions were good as the team
were helpful and assisted in working to accommodate
my needs as a part time student. Having studied
Acupuncture for one year else where this came
as a breath of fresh air. The teaching standards
are exceptionally high but this does not mean
you have to be a the most academic candidate as
their approach is one of detail, consistency and
careful research. I think the difference is they
genuinely care. Their only expectation for you
is for you to do well and succeed."
"I have just started the
degree course and although this is really scary
(it's a lot of work!) I feel confident that
the academy will continue to teach, nurture
and support."

Loved the course! And Phil and
Graham too, both great teachers. What was really
special about the course, was the fact that
it went on in many different levels simultaneously.
Like any other healing art, TCM can be practised
at any number of levels and Phil and Graham
introduced many ideas to us and then it was
up to us to decide how deep we wanted to go.
To date, I have never been is
a situation yet, when I had no idea what to
do for a client. The course is pretty comprehensive
that way. You'll always be able to think of
something that you can at least try.
I qualified in 2004 and travelled to China in
2005 for a bit of real clinical practice. What
was an awesome experience, highly recommend
it to all students. Just maybe pick a friendlier
time of the year than Jan-March....hrrrr...freezing.
Now I run my own very successful business in
South Africa, Shen Men Oriental Medicine.

| I am
in my first year studying Oriental Medicine at
the Academy and I have found the course
(B.Sc. degree) very well organised and enjoyable
(and very hard work!). But I have been backed
up by the support provided by the Academy
their knowledge is vast - as is the collective
experience of all involved. I just hope
when I qualify - I can be as professional and
effective as they are in their approach to treatment.
